TEHRAN -- Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi has appointed Gholamali Khoshrou deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs, the Central News Bureau reported.

Khoshrou was previously the chancellor of the College of International Relations of the Foreign Ministry and the deputy director of education and research of the ministry.

He was also formerly Iran's permanent representative to the UN and the Iranian ambassador to Australia.
